Gentle Movement and Mindfulness for Pain management - Registration is open for the online (Zoom) class starting October 19, 2020
This is a Pain BC certified course, offering a gradual and gentle approach to movement for those with chronic pain. The mindfulness component helps navigate the sensations that arise with movement. Restorative and Yoga Nidra 7-8:15 PM - Sundays - In-person spaces (limited) and Zoom classes starting October 18, 2020 A gentle class for all levels, focusing on the breath and it's amazing ability to calm, open and heal. The focus is to observe the mind and body when we slow down, taking the time to notice rest in the body (or unrest!), learning how to let go of tensions, and beginning to quieten that 'monkey mind' through mindful awareness. Perfect for almost everyone, even those struggling with physical issues/injuries, anxiety or depression. Modifications offered for all postures. A variety of 'props' may be used including bolster or pillow, blankets, eye pillows, blocks, straps and balls. Yoga Nidra provides an deeper level of restoration in the body through intentional guided meditation. You will feel incredibly rested following this practice, preparing you for your week ahead.
$75 for 5 class session. Drop in available for Zoom classes mainly, unless one of the limited in-studio spots is available.
Hatha for Strength and Balance 7-8 am - Monday mornings. - In person spaces (limited), Zoom classes start October 18, 2020
A traditional Hatha class with poses geared towards building strength, balance and flexibility. Mindfulness woven throughout poses. Mini Restorative Yoga Nidra Retreats(Zoom event\0 TBA- coming in November 2020 6:30-8:45
Treat yourself to over 2 hours of dedicated rest time. Delve into the layers of holding and stress in the body through supported Restorative shapes. Practicing breath awareness, mindfulness and the deep rest of Yoga Nidra. In addition, the vibration of crystal bowls and other instruments will accompany and deepen your practice.
