COVID-19 UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2021: After much thought, and being aware of the evolving Covid-19 situation, I have decided to require in-person students to be fully immunized. Being a Registered Nurse working with a vulnerable population (palliative and their families) and also having a frail, elderly mom, it is the best way for me to move forward and offer in-person classes. I am sorry if this is difficult for some, and please know that I am not making this decision lightly. Hopefully, by 2022, this pandemic will be a memory! And to support those who chose not to immunize, I am offering live Zoom classes (and for those who just want to stay home and practice in their PJ's!!!)

Gentle Movement and Mindfulness for Pain management - Next Intake October 2021-Friday mornings 9-10.
This is a Pain BC certified course, offering a gradual and gentle approach to movement for those with chronic pain. The mindfulness component helps navigate the sensations that arise with movement. NEW TIME: Restorative and Yoga Nidra 7-8:30 PM - Thursday evenings A gentle class for all levels, focusing on the breath and it's amazing ability to calm, open and heal. The focus is to observe the mind and body when we slow down, taking the time to notice rest in the body (or unrest!), learning how to let go of tensions, and beginning to quieten that 'monkey mind' through mindful awareness. Perfect for almost everyone, even those struggling with physical issues/injuries, anxiety or depression. Modifications offered for all postures. A variety of 'props' may be used including bolster or pillow, blankets, eye pillows, blocks, straps and balls. Yoga Nidra provides an even deeper level of restoration in the body through intentional guided meditation. You will feel incredibly rested following this practice, preparing you for your days ahead.
First Session: Thursday September 9 for 4 weeks, 7-8:30
Second Session: Thursday October 7 for 4 weeks 7-8:30
Third Session: Thursday November 18 to December 9 (4 weeks) 7-8:30
