The goal of Six Persimmons Yoga is to offer something unique to students who don't prefer, or feel like they fit into the large studios or fitness club yoga classes. The class size will be small( 6-8), allowing a personalized, therapeutic approach to each student's practice. I have been on a path of supporting individuals with their health and wellness for about 30 years. Searching for a little more balance in life, I was drawn to yoga and it didn't take long before I knew teaching was almost a natural progression of my career in the Health Care field. More recently, a personal injury has led me on the path of discovering how we can tap into our own body's innate healing ability. Students will receive instruction in such a way that complements whatever conditions, injuries or illnesses they may have. This will support their journey to less pain, improved well-being, decreased anxiety/depression, or simply a greater sense of peace. -Registered nurse with a Bachelor's degree (University of Calgary) -IAYT-C: Certified Yoga Therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapists -Moksha Yoga(500 hour) -additional training in Vinyasa, Yin, Trauma-sensitive Yoga and mindfulness
